About Us
Founded on passion, built on expertise—Healey Quarter Horses is a family-operated venture dedicated to the breeding and development of elite Quarter Horses, with a focus on cutting. Based in Young, NSW, Rod and Tish Healey have spent years perfecting their craft in equine breeding, creating a legacy of horses known for their agility, intelligence, and performance.
Rod Healey was raised in Young, where his family’s involvement in equine sports shaped his early years. Surrounded by horses, Rod’s passion for the sport of cutting naturally evolved, pushing him to pursue this adrenaline-filled discipline with fervor.
Tish, born and raised in Tamworth, NSW, shared a similar journey, growing up with a passion for horses and agriculture. Together, their love for the sport of cutting truly ignited in 2012, and since then, they’ve worked tirelessly to build Healey Quarter Horses into what it is today—a renowned name in the Australian equine industry.
